Following the effect of abuse of drugs on his music career, prolific Nigerian musician, Majek Fashek, has commenced awareness against the reckless intake of alcohol and drugs.
The acclaimed ‘rain maker’, who recently returned from a rehab in Abuja, after his music career dwindled ostensibly because of drug addiction, was a speaker at a seminar organised by the National Association of Psychiatric Practitioners.
Speaking during the conference held at the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Akoka, on Thursday, Majek shared his life experience and transformation with the participants.
He warned youths not to abuse alcohol and drugs, sharing his life experience with them on how worse things could get because of youthful exuberance.
The singer told the audience that abuse of drugs could wreck one’s life.
