The remains of former governor of Kogi State, Audu Abubakar will be laid to rest on Monday, November 23, 2015, according to Islamic rites.
Abubakar died on Sunday evening shortly after the Kogi State governorship election conducted on Saturday was announced inconclusive.
The deceased was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the gubernatorial poll on Saturday, November 21, 2015.
Abubakar was earlier leading in the election before the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, declared it and said a bye-election would be held at a later date to determine the clear winner of the poll.
