An early morning inferno on Monday, January 4, 2016, gutted a main market in Yola, the capital city of Adamawa State.
It was learnt that the fire started around 3:17am and affected some shops in the market. However, no life was lost in the unfortunate incident.
The inferno was said to have been triggered by an electrical fault and efforts by the State Fire Service could not stop the fire destroying a larger portion of the market.
The Yola Market is majorly known for the sale food items.
