A former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Haliru Bello, has been placed under security watch at his hospital in Abuja.
Bello was arraigned in court on Tuesday by the Economic and Financial Commission, EFCC, over allegations bordering on corruption. He was also in court along with his son, Abbah.
But the former PDP boss stormed the court on a wheelchair. He claimed to be receiving treatment at the hospital.
Justice Ahmed Mohammed of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja disclosed that the accused applications for bail would be considered on Thursday.
Justice Mohammed directed the Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, to ensure that Bello is monitored in hospital, while his son was remanded in Kuje Prison till Thursday.
