Former Governor of the old Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The former minister of information joined the ruling party at the centre on Friday.
He stormed a party meeting of the APC in Enugu State on Friday, which also had Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeffrey Onyeama, in attendance, and announced his decision to become one of them. His announcement reportedly shock some of those present.
Nwobodo is a former Senator and also a presidential aspirant on the platform of PDP.
He stressed that, “I am not coming into APC because I want anything. I want our people to be reintegrated and have our
own share of the Federal Government resources,”
Also, a former PDP senator from Enugu State, Fidelis Okoro, joined the APC at the same meeting.
