According to reports making the rounds, Director General of the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission, NBC, Emeka Mba, has been nabbed by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Mba was said to have been arrested in Abuja on Monday morning over an alleged N15 billion fraud.
The NBC DG was reportedly taken to the EFCC’s headquarters in Abuja for questioning.
It was said that last week, operatives of the EFCC stormed office of the NBC and some of its top employees whisked away. It was further gathered that Mba was implicated by the members of staff who was picked up last week during interrogation.
However, we learnt that the attention of Mba was called upon in connection with the lodging of fund in a bank, which was not remitted on time to the TSA.
