Thursday, January 14, 2016, parents of the missing Chibok Girls and campaigners of the Bring Back Our Girls, BBOG, held a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
Initially, they were prevented from seeing the country’s number one citizen, but after the group’s insistence, they were finally allowed to meet him.
However, journalists were prevented from covering the event as they were told to leave the hall after Buhari arrived.
According to the BBOG, the President was not looking happy during the meeting with them and he did not wait to have photograph with parents of the missing girls and he was said to have stormed out of the hall.
EiE Nigeria, which gave regular updates of the meeting of the group with the President, posted on its verified Twitter page, “@MBuhari was visibly angry. He spoke in English & Hausa. Stormed out of the hall. No pictures or time spent with parents.
Earlier, the group had issues with the Minister of Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan, fondly called Mama Taraba, when she lambasted the organisers of the protest of not giving enough notice to the government.
