Following his failure to appear in court on Thursday, January 14, 2016, to answer charges levelled against him, a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has issued a bench warrant on Government Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo.
The former Niger Delta militant leader was ordered to show up in court on Thursday following an alleged N34 billion fraud involving him.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, accused Tompolo of being involved in the said crime and his attention was needed at the court to clear him name.
But the creek warlord did not show up in court, which forced Justice Ibrahim Buba to issue the warrant.
