The committee constituted on Wednesday to investigate controversy trailing the alleged missing 2016 Appropriation Bill has submitted its report.
According to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, the committee found out that two versions of the 2016 budget were submitted to the National Assembly.
Saraki posted on his official Facebook page on Thursday outcome of the investigation and disclosed that President Muhammdu Buhari presented his version on December 22, 2015 at a Joint Session of the National Assembly, while his Senior Special Assistant on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Ita Enang, submitted another.
The Senate President did not however state when Enang submitted the other edition.
However, Saraki pointed out that “the Senate will only accept the version of the appropriation bill that was presented by the President.”
