Embattled former militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, well known as Tompolo, has petitioned President Muhammadu Buhari over an alleged plan to kill and implicate him (Tompolo) by some new members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Bayelsa and Delta States.
Tompolo, who has a bench warrant on his, claimed that the defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the Niger Delta states have sworn to remove him from the face of the earth.
In the letter signed by him on Sunday, Tompolo said some of the defectors from Warri South West local government area of Delta State are desperate to link him to last week’s bombing of oil installations in the state.
Tompolo told Buhari that, “The crux of this letter is to let you know that they are dubious, mischievous, desperate, pretentious, manipulative and corrupt, therefore they do not share the same vision and mission with you as well as do not believe in good governance.”
He added that the lawyer of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, prosecuting him is doing so because he (Tompolo) did not buy choice properties from him.
