A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has directed the Department of State Services, DSS, to take the Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, to Kuje prison pending his trial for treason.
Justice John Tsoho gave the order on Wednesday after listening to counsels to the DSS, Mohammed Diri, and that of Kanu, Chuks Muoma (SAN).
The IPOB leader has been in custody of the DSS for about three months, which his lawyer was not happy about.
But the DSS explained that it has kept Kanu in its custody for security reasons.
However, the judge ruled that the accused person be kept in the custody of the Nigeria Prison Service, Kuje.
