Dasuki's Trial Fixed For Friday

Justice Baba Yusuf of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has fixed Friday, January 22, 2016, for the trial of former National Security Adviser, NSA, Sambo Dasuki.

Dasuki is standing trial for alleged diversion of $2.1 billion meant for the procurement of arms to fight Boko Haram militants in the north east.

The former NSA was in court on Thursday, but his counsels, Joseph Daudu (SAN) and Ahmed Raji (SAN) were not present. They had indicated that they would not be in court on Thursday because they will be attending an election petition tribunal’s sitting in Kogi on same day (Thursday).

They requested for an adjournment, which lawyer to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN), did not oppose.
