Barely 48 hours after he was granted bail to the tune of N400 million for alleged money laundering, National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, was again brought to court.
This time, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, which first arraigned him in court on a 7-count charge, accused him of destroying his confessional statement he made to them during investigation.
Metuh was brought to court on Thursday in handcuffs and was led into a Federal High Court in Abuja by prison officials.
The EFCC said while in their custody, Metuh tried to swallow the statement he earlier made.
Meanwhile, his application for bail was fix for January 25, 2016, by the presiding judge, Justice Ishaq Bello, and he was returned to Kuje Prison.
