Properties believed to belong to former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, have been confiscated by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, in Kaduna.
It was gathered that the properties include a hotel complex on Rabah Road, Malali GRA and a mansion under construction on Sani Sami Road, also in Malali GRA.
It was further learnt that occupants of the buildings were ejected by EFCC operatives who took over them and marked the properties with red ink.
Dasuki is facing trial over his alleged misappropriation of about $2.1 billion meant for the purchase of arms to fight terrorism in the country. He was arraigned in court by the EFCC and other persons were named to have taken from the largesse.
Also, the EFCC seized properties of others linked with the scandal, including that of a former Theatre Commander of the Operation Lafia Dole in Maiduguri, Major General Yishau Mahmood Abubakar.
Abubakar’s residential duplex located at No. 5C, Sultan Close was sealed off Sunday evening by the agency and a notice “Keep off, under EFCC investigation” was boldly written in red paint on the building.
A shopping mall believed to be owned by a relation of Abubakar was also confiscated by the EFCC.
