On Tuesday, governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, shocked many observers when he met with his Osun State counterpart, Rauf Aregbesola, in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Both governors belong to two different political parties. Governor Fayose is of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, while Aregbesola belongs to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Fayose has been very critical of the APC-led administration of President Muhammadu Buhari since the government at the centre took over on May 29, 2016.
Both men hugged each other and engaged in talks. The Ekiti State governor visit his counterpart alongside his lawmakers.
