A raging inferno enveloped a filling station in the Lawanson area of Lagos State on Thursday evening.
It was gathered that the fire, which gutted an MRS petrol station in the area in Surulere, destroyed many properties worth millions of Naira.
The inferno was said to have started around 6pm.
The immediate cause of the fire was not known, but the National Emergency Managment Agency, NEMA, disclosed through its Twitter handle that it started when “a tanker was trying to discharge it’s content at MRS filling station near OANDO at Lawanson, Lagos.”
