Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus, has been asked to tender his resignation letter.
This demand was made by governors of the opposition party on Wednesday night after a meeting headed by their chairman, Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State.
The governors further asked Secondus to handover the running of the party’s secretariat in Abuja to the National Secretary, Prof. Wale Oladipo, and return to his position as the deputy national chairman.
It would be recalled that earlier on Wednesday, former Political Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Ahmed Gulak, stormed the party’s national secretariat in Abuja with his supporters and pronounced himself as the national chairman.
PDP was plunged into a leadership crisis after Adamu Mu’azu left office.
