Eight Borno State Commissioners have been invited by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for questioning.
The affected public officers were petitioned for alleged corruption. According to the petitioners, the Commissioners are believed to be living beyond their earnings and have luxury properties within and outside Nigeria.
The EFCC has swung into action and will probe the affected persons.
They are Engr. Ibrahim Mohammed Bukar, Commissioner for Works and Transport; Babakaka Bashir Garbai, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Zainab Gimba, Commissioner for Poverty Alleviation; Salma Anas Kolo, Commissioner for Health; Musa Inuwa Kubo, Commissioner for Education; Sugun Mai Mele, Commissioner for Housing and Rural Electrification; Usman Zannah, Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources; and Yunus Mairami, Commissioner for Finance.
