The elections of governors Udom Emmanuel and Okezie Ikpeazu of Akwa Ibom and Abia States respectively have been upheld by the Supreme Court.
The apex court on Wednesday ruled in favour of the two governors and kept both as number citizens of their respective states.
The court held that Udom won the lawfully cast votes, setting aside the earlier ruling of the two lower courts and the cancellation of the results of the elections held in 13 local government areas of Akwa Ibom State.
Reasons for verdict have been reserved till February 15, 2016.
