An out-of-court settlement has been reached between National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Bola Tinubu, and Chairman of DAAR Communication Plc, Raymond Dokepsi, over a libel case instituted by the former against the latter.
Tinubu had dragged AIT, owned by DAAR Communication Plc to court over a documentary titled ‘Lion of Burdillion’, aired on AIT before the 2015 general elections.
On Friday, counsels to both parties, Wole Olanipekun for Tinubu and Mike Ezekhome for Dokpesi presented the terms of settlement reached on January 29, 2016 before the trial judge, Justice Iyabo Akinkugbe.
According to few of the terms of agreement, AIT would broadcast a retraction on its channel, also air an apology daily for a quarter.
