One of the brightest stars in Juju music, Olawale Michael has been into music right from childhood, but launched deeper into music during his secondary school education.
He joined a musical group, “Odunlami World Entertainment” (a juju life band), as a drummer at age 15, and later became a back-up singer. Overtime, this courageous, intelligent young chap started learning the guitar, and soon became a very good lead guitarist. This enabled him to play the lead guitar for his boss, Odunlami.
In the year 2006, after the completion of his Ordinary National Diploma (OND), in Lagos State Polytechnic, he took music as a career.
In 2007, he proceeded with his education to bag the Higher National Diploma (HND). During this period, he was able to perform at campus shows. His major achievement in his career as an undergraduate was when he performed at the Valedictory Service of their academic set. While in school, he got quite a number of recommendations from his colleagues and lecturers even till date.
He graduated in the year 2009, and he lived mainly on his music career for two years.
As God would have it, Micholas as he’s fondly called was employed by Globacom Ltd in 2011. His plan was to save a substantial amount of money, in order to invest more in his career (man proposes but God disposes).
He worked with Globacom for four years and towards his 5th year, he was privileged to work directly with Dr Mike Adenuga GCON (the chairman, Globacom Ltd) for about five months. He left Globacom in June 2015, to fully go for his passion, music.
“Today, I say …hitherto the Lord has helped me!”, he says.
Micholas who hails from Ogun State is happily married, and a father of one, however prior to the love season ‘Valentine’, drops a new single titled ‘Ife Okan Mi’ from his forthcoming album debut, ‘Ire Wamiri.’
