Former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo, well-known as Tompolo, has been declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
This followed his failure to present himself to the Nigerian government for prosecution.
A bench warrant was first issued on him by the court, but the government could not get him. This forced another warrant of arrest to be issued on him by the court again.
The EFCC, in a statement issued on Thursday, which was advertised in various newspapers in Nigeria, implored members of the general public to provide useful information on his whereabouts to it.
According to the anti-graft agency, Tompolo, 47, is wanted in a case of conspiracy, illegal diversion of N34 billion and 11billion, 900 million belonging to the Nigerian maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA.
