Reports reaching us confirm that the Kwara State chapter of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, now has a new coordinator.
This followed the expulsion of Marruf Olanrewaju as coordinator based on fraud and anti-group activity allegations levelled against him by his members, which he reportedly failed to clear when invited by the national body in Lagos.
Olanrewaju and other state coordinators were expelled by the national body few weeks ago.
According to what our reporter gathered, Comrade Oladipo Ganiyu Olayinka, fondly called Proffesor, has been named the new coordinator of OPC in Kwara State.
Olayinka is a 2013 graduate of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, where he studied Fine Applied Art with a second class (Hons) Lower Division.
Meanwhile, National Coordinator of OPC, Otunba Gani Adams, has congratulated Olayinka on his new position and has charged him to project the image of the group positively.
