Former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, has been apprehended by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Moro was said to have been arrested on Monday evening alongside a former Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Anaesthesia Nwaobia, and a deputy director.
In 2014, the minister was alleged to have been involved in a recruitment fraud, where more than 15 job seekers were killed in stampedes in different parts of the country while trying to write exams into vacate positions in the Nigerian Immigration Service.
According to Premium Times, a source at the commission disclosed to it that the suspects will be charged to court on Tuesday on a 12-count charge at the Federal High Court in Abuja.
They would be arraigned for allegedly obtaining by false pretence, procurement offences, corrupt practices and money laundering.
