Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Uche Secondus, has been apprehended by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Secondus acted as the PDP Chairman and only handed over to the new Chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff few days ago, was said to have been arrested in connection with Jide Omokore’s 25 exotic cars worth about N300 million, which the promoter of Atlantic Energy Concepts Limited allegedly bought for top officials of the party.
It was alleged that Secondus got the vehicles for onward distribution to other beneficiaries.
According to reports, Secondus was nabbed by officials of the EFCC from his Abuja home on Tuesday night and detained overnight at the Commission’s office.
It was said that during interrogation, the EFCC got to know about the 25 exotic cars.
