Kannywood Star, Aisha Dankano Buried Amid Tears

The remains of one of the stars in the Hausa film industry, Aisha Dankano, was laid to rest on Tuesday in Kano.

The late film star was said to have died earlier on Tuesday at her residence in Gwammaja area of Kano after a brief illness and was buried according Islamic rites.

She was well known in the Kannywood industry as Sima and she acted in several flicks during her lifetime.

As her corpse was being lowered to the ground, sympathisers could not hold back tears, which flowed freely.

Most of her colleagues in the movie industry have described her demise as shocking and unfortunate.
