Former Juventus player and manager, Antonio Conte has reportedly ‘agreed in principle’ to take over the job left behind by two-time Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho in late 2015.
Dutch manager, Guus Hiddink, is spending his second spell at Stamford Bridge as interim manager and has rejuvenated the team into winning ways again.
According to reports from London, Conte, presently the head coach of Italy, is close to signing a three-year deal as Chelsea manager.
In fact, it is learnt that he will seal a deal with the London outfit within 10 days.
Chelsea have been hunting for a new manager since the club parted ways with Mourinho, who allegedly lost control of his dressing room.
Trouble started for him when he was engaged in a bust-up with the team doctor in the beginning of the 2015/2016 season. Their form dropped drastically and at a point, they almost battled with relegation.
However, the club is yet to climb to the first half of the league table.
