The Supreme Court on Friday, February 26, 2016, affirmed the ruling of a Lagos High Court that sentenced Lagos-based man of God, Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, popularly known as Reverend King, to death by hanging.
Rev King is the General Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly, Lagos.
The Supreme Court found the accused guilty of the charges against him; murder and attempted murder.

In the judgement read by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, it was said that his acts like those seen in “a horror movie.”
It would be recalled that a Lagos State High Court found the man of God guilty and sentenced him to death. He took the case to the Court of Appeal, which affirmed the ruling of the lower court.
Not satisfied, he challenged the ruling at the apex court, which today okayed judgements of the two lower courts.
