The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has announced the appointment of Samson Siasia as the head of Coach of senior national football team, Super Eagles.
Siasia is making his return as the coach of the team after a first spell in 2010, where he succeeded Swedish coach, Lars Lagerbäck. However, he was fired by the NFF on October 28, 2011, for failing to qualify Nigeria to the 2012 African Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
The NFF appointed Siasia on Friday as replacement for Sunday Oliseh, who resigned from his job on Thursday, February 25, 2016.
Before Siasia’s recent appointment, he was in charge of the Under 23 team.
