Nigerian-owned telecommunications company, Globacom, also known as Glo, has cleared the air surrounding rumours that P-Square has been disengaged as its brand ambassador.
The company issued a press statement to put to rest reports some days ago that it has cancelled its deal with the music group, which comprises two brothers, Peter and Paul Okoye.
Glo stressed in the statement that it has not dropped P-Square or any other ambassadors on its list.
The telecom giants said both parties have gained from the deal and would want such to continue.
It said the process of reviewing the contracts with P-Square is ongoing.
“We have not disengaged P-Square or any of our other ambassadors. We are currently in the process of reviewing our contracts with the brand ambassadors. We are proud of the role Globacom has played in the rapid upward trajectory of the musical career of these incredibly talented twin brothers,” Glo said.
According to Glo, it “holds its brand ambassadors in the highest esteem and has a dignified procedure of managing its relationships with its brand ambassadors. Whenever brand ambassadors are to be engaged or disengaged, we usually follow the due process and dignify them by holding constructive discussions with them.”
