I Never Snubbed My Colleagues—Omoni Oboli

Multi-talented Nollywood star, Omoni Oboli, has debunked reports that she ignored her colleagues at an event that took place in Lagos penultimate week.

It was reported last week that the actress shunned her colleagues who had wanted to accompany her to the podium to receive an award.

Omoni was at the Sun awards in Lagos and was crowned Nollywood personality of the year, but it was reported that she told her fellow actress not to follow her on stage to collect her award at the ceremony.

According to the online report titled ‘Omoni Oboli Shuns Colleagues’, the actress was quoted to have told her colleagues that ‘I want to go and collect my award alone’.

But in a statement issued by her representative, Omoni dismissed the report, saying it was far from the truth.

The actress claimed she never told her colleagues not to follow her up to the podium. She said in fact, some of them were with her on stage when she was making her acceptance speech.
