Lagos State governor, Akinwumi Ambode, on Sunday afternoon, paid an on-the-spot assessment to scene of the ethnic clash in Mile 12 area of the state last week.
Last Thursday, there was a riot between Hausa and Yoruba tribes at Mile 12, Maidan and Agiliti, which left some people dead.
Also during the unrest, several properties, including vehicles and houses were razed down by hoodlums.
Ambode, during his visit, expressed shock at the level of destruction. He said his government will continue to safeguard lives and properties in the state.
The governor urged residents of the areas to continue to live peacefully among each other, stressing that Lagos will not make the state comfortable to criminals.
