A public hearing on Frivolous Petition Bill has been organised by the Nigerian Senate. The bill is also fondly referred to as the Social Media Bill.
The upper chamber of the National Assembly put up the public hearing to engage different stakeholders in debating and making clarification concerning the Bill.
The hearing, Aproko247 learnt, is taking place at the Room 022 Ground Floor, Senate Building in Abuja.
As at the time of filing this report, contributions are being received from different speakers, including from the Senate, judiciary, social activists, bloggers, security operatives amongst others.
The hearing is being chaired by Senator Godswill Akpabio, who represented the Senate President, Bukola Saraki. Other senators at the function are David Umaru, James Manager, Joshua Lidani, Godfey Utazi, and Ovie Omo-Agege.
