President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with Nigerian women on the International Women’s Day, which is celebrated today, Tuesday, March 8, 2016.

Buhari, in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by one of his media aides, Garba Shehu, assured women of his government’s commitment to cater for their well-being and progress.

The President said in the statement that the theme of this year’s International Women’s day, ‘Pledge for Parity,’ is consistent with the promise by the All Progressives Congress, APC, to remove all impediments to the realization of equality by Nigerian women and he assures them that his administration will continue to do all within its powers to fulfil that pledge.
