Steve McClaren has been sacked as the manager of Newcastle United following a woeful spell at the club.
The club ended their contract with the Englishman on Friday and appointed former Liverpool boss, Rafa Benitez, as the new manager.
The former Real Madrid coach sealed a three-year deal with the Toon and would be expected to lead the team out of the relegation zone.
The Magpies currently sit 19th on the league table.
Newcastle suffered a 3-1 loss to Bournemouth at the weekend. Fans who watched the game at the stadium could not hide their frustrations at the loss.
Benitez would be expected to use his experience to save the club from playing football next season at the Championship.
