As part of making the celebration of Easter very meaningful to the less privileged in the community, star actress, Mercy Johnson-Okojie, and her husband, Prince Odi Okogie, lavished some gift items on widows in their area.
Aproko247 gathered that several widows in the vicinity stormed the residence of the popular family and were treated to a nice time by the Okojie family.
Bags of rice and other food items were distributed to many women who were present that the Lagos residence of Mercy Johnson and her husband.
The couple, who wore matching Ankara outfits, was all smiles giving out the gift materials to the women, who expressed their gratitude to the kind gesture.
Odi Okogie explained why they decided to carry out the gesture.
He said, “The reason for Easter is the celebration of Christ’s victory to humanity, his vicarious death and triumphant resurrection brought us life eternal.
“This in mind, I and my wife had a nice time bringing joy to the widows in our community.
“All thanks to Mercy Johnson Okojie foundation and all the crew members of Prince Odi Okojie Empowerment Scheme.”
