Military Begins Training On Kidnapping, Insurgency

A training to properly manage the situation of kidnapping and insurgency in the country has been commenced by the Nigerian military.

This is aimed at keeping stakeholders in the security sector abreast on new ways of tackling the issues, which is getting rampart.

The training, we gathered, is among security agencies in the country.

Declaring open the training tagged ‘Operation Haske Biyu 2016’, Commandant of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Air Vice Marshal Suleiman Dambo, charged security agents in Nigeria to always be conscious and observant at all times as they go about their respective duties.

According to Dambo, the exercise became necessary in the face of treats posed by the dynamism of the current security challenges in the country, where kidnapping and insurgency has become a threat to the country.

The Commandant urged them to ensure that their disclosure of information to outside sources, movement, association and other actions do not undermine national security.
