Nigerian Professional Football League side, Sunshine Stars, has received a fine of N6 million as punishment for violent conducts by some of its fans during a week-nine match against Shooting Stars FC of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The body in charge of the league, League Management Company, LMC, said the Akure-based football club breached some of it rules during the game.
Apart from that, the club will have two points deducted for preventing broadcast of the match towards the end of the game.
In three separate charges, Sunshine Stars will pay N5 million and also pay N500,000 for not controlling their supporters from harassing and assaulting a visiting club’s officials.
Similarly, another fine of N750,000 was placed on the club for failing to ensure adequate security and allow access to unauthorised persons to all restricted areas.
