Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson, has decorated the newly promoted Deputy Commissioner of Police, Andy Amiegheme.
The promoted cop was formerly an Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP, before he was moved up in rank by the police authorities.
Performing the decoration on Amiegheme at the Government House in Yenagoa, the governor charged the police chief to see his new position as a more call to service.
He charged him to ensure lives and properties in the state are more secured and discharge his duties more professionally.
Dickson was assisted in the decoration of the officer by the Commissioner of Police in Bayelsa State, Peter Ogunyawon.
In another development, the governor was at the monthly praise night held at the King of Glory Chapel, Government House, Yenagoa.
The governor was at the event with his wife, Rachael.
