Chelsea striker, Diego Costa, has been handed one more ban by an independent regulatory commission for improper conduct.

The Spaniard received the suspension after admitting a charge of improper conduct in the way he left the field of play when he got a second yellow card in a match between his club and Everton few weeks ago.

This means the goal poacher will not play for the London outfit until April 16, when Chelsea meet Manchester City.

He was initially given a two-match ban for the way he reacted when the referee, Michael Oliver, gave him a red card during the FA Cup quarter-final defeat at Goodison Park.

His reaction at the referee’s decision earned him the latest ban and a £20,000 fine and a warning as to his future conduct.

Costa is serving the second game of his original two-match suspension at Aston Villa on Saturday having incurred a one-game ban for the red card and a further match given it was effectively his second red card offence of the season following retrospective sanction over a clash with Arsenal’s Laurent Koscielny and Gabriel in September.
