The ward congress of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Ondo State has ended without a record of any form of violence.
The party conducted its congress in all the 18 local government areas of the state recently and from all indications, it was largely peaceful.
According to a member of the House of Representatives, Teejay Yusuf, who led the PDP ward congress electoral committee in the state, the exercise ended peacefully.
Yusuf, while presenting his report to the state executive members, the congress took place in 202 out of the 203 wards in the state.
The lawmaker said the congress was the most organised ever witnessed, stressing that the only outstanding ward will be conducted at a date yet to be announced.
Commending Yusuf, Chairman of the PDP in the state, Clement Faboyede, thanked the committee for doing a good job.
