Students of the University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT, Rivers State, have closed down the school over increase in their tuition fee.
The aggrieved students block major roads leading to their institution to kick against the increase by their school management.
Also, academic activities in the higher institution of learning have been brought to a halt due to the demonstration.
As early as 6am on Monday, students of UNIPORT were already out in their numbers to express their anger at the development.
Almost all entry and exit points in the school were manned by the students, leaving several people in the school community stranded.
They are calling for a reversal of the hike, accusing the school authorities of not being considerate of the present hardship in the country.
