Reports reaching us confirm that Nigerian forces are currently engaging members of the deadly terrorists group, Boko Haram in Borno State.
According to the Acting Director Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, the gallant soldiers are in a fierce battle with the insurgents in Kareto in Northern Borno.
Usman disclosed on Monday morning that, “Please be informed that our troops are currently engaged in fierce battle with Boko Haram Terrorists at Kareto, Northern Borno.”
He however did not give details of the gun battle between the soldiers and the Boko Haram members.
The Nigerian government has been battling to chase out terrorists from the north east of the country, their stronghold.
