CCT: Saraki Trial To Hold Daily

Chairman of the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, Justice Umar Danladi, on Monday disclosed that the trial of embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki, will now hold every day.

At the resumption of the proceedings on Monday, April 18, 2016, Justice Danladi said this move is to fast track the trial and bring it to conclusion quickly.

He said sittings would be held from 10am to 6pm daily.

As at today, a total of 30 exhibits have been marked and a total of three bank drafts (in tens of millions of Naira) have been tendered in evidence.

Bank drafts for a total of N24,090,000 were for part payment for Saraki’s property located at 17, Mcdonald Street, Ikoyi, Lagos.

The second draft for N36,135,000 dated October 10, 2007, was part payments for the Ikoyi property and drawn from Kylie Properties Ltd account in one of the new generation banks, while the third draft for N12,045,000 dated January 10, 2007, also drawn from Kylie Property Investment was also for part payment for the Ikoyi property.
