Comedian turned musician, MC Galaxy, has launched his own record label. The singer announced this on his birthday, Monday, May 2, 2016.
MC Galaxy hopes the outfit called ‘MCG Empire’, turns out to be one of the powerhouses of music in Africa.
The self-acclaimed ‘king of new dance in Africa’ also announced Prinye Jaja as the first artiste signed by the label.
Prinye, a descendant of the Great King Jaja of Opobo, was born January 10, 1996 and raised in West Covina, California, where she developed her interest and passion for music and entertainment.
Also, MC Galaxy signed his new producer, Kuvie from Ghana.
Kuvie’s journey in production started in high school and since then, he has been on a self-taught journey through tutorials, mentorship under esteemed music pioneers like Panji Anoff, Jayso and has worked with the likes of Pappy Kojo (Awo’a,Ay3 Late), Lady Jay (Venus), E.L (Agbadza), Azizaa (Black Magic Woman) and many others.
Now his trademark sound is fusion of trap influences from the West with African percussion to create a new wave.
Born Nestor Kwame Ankuvie, he attended Ghana International School and graduated from University of Ghana.
