Reports reaching us say another explosion has occurred at the facility of Chevron Nigeria Limited on Friday.
There have been renewed attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta region lately and a new group called the Niger Delta Avengers had claimed responsibility for them.
Chevron had in the past few days recorded several attacks on its facilities in the region.
It was gathered that the Friday’s attack took place in the Marakaba line, which is operated by the oil firm in Warri, Delta State.
According to what we learnt, unknown suspected hoodlums bombed on oil well head 10 on the Makaraba line.
No group has claimed responsibility for this attack yet.
It would be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari said oil vandals would be treated like terrorists. He ordered the military to smash the new group threatening brimstone.
