The much-awaited final autopsy report on late Ronke Shonde, the woman allegedly murdered by her husband, Lekan, 51, in the Egbeda area of Lagos State, has been submitted to the police in the state.
It was disclosed to Punch that from the report, which was finalised on Wednesday, the former banker died from respiratory seizure and not from domestic violence as being widely speculated on social media.
It was reported that final autopsy report is with the State Department of Criminal Investigation, and that the police will make the report public on Thursday.
“The final autopsy result has been released. In fact, it is just getting to the SDCI. The summary of the report is that she did not die from the bruises on her body. She died from respiratory seizure,” Punch quoted a source to have disclosed.
