Economy: Senate Summons Adeosun, Emefiele

Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun, has been ordered to appear before the Senate to explain what is happening to the country’s economy.

Also asked to come for questioning is the governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Godwin Emefiele.

The lawmakers, at the plenary on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, expressed their displeasure with the state of Nigeria’s current economy.

This followed a motion raised on the floor by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Gas, Bassey Akpan.

However, no specific date was given by the Senate for Adeosun and Emefiele to appear before it.
