There is an animosity brewing between Nigerian singer, Runtown, and his record label, Eric Manny Records, which has now involved the court.
From what we gathered, the singer has written his label, informing them of his intention to cancel the contract between them.
However, the label has threatened to drag Runtown to court, stopping him from performing as an artiste.
According to Runtown, his label has not been truthful in the payment of royalties accrued to him. He also accused the label of threatening his life.
The singer, through his lawyer, said he has returned all properties he received from the label when he signed with them in 2014.
Meanwhile, owner of Eric Manny Records, Okwudili Umenyiora, has got an injunction from court stopping Runtown from performing as an artist, amongst other things, pending when they settle their issues.
