The travel ban placed on Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has been condemned by the Ekiti State House of Assembly.
Members of the House on Thursday warned that the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari to allegedly ban Fayose from travelling abroad throw the country into anarchy.
Speaker of the House, Kola Oluwawole, disclosed that only the court of law could exercise such powers and not the President, saying it was purely a constitutional breach that could heat up the polity.
The House said it would resist any plans by the Federal Government to rubbish the state governor.
Speaking on the strike action embarked upon by workers in the state, the Speaker urged labour to return to the negotiation table in the interest of the state.
He begged the angry workers to shelve the strike.
